    It is a small community located near the town of Tortuguero. The community has approximately 580 people and 145 houses, most engaged in tourism or fishing. San Francisco is limited to the Tortuguero National Park, where the same route is taken. To get there, take a boat in La Pavona, the main dock, and proceed with a tour of the beautiful canals for about an hour.<\/p>

    You may see some of the area’s species if you are lucky. However, the most attractive thing is that you will feel the relaxation and peace nature gives us on its journey. The park also borders the Barra de Colorado National Refuge.<\/p>

    Of the main attractions nearby is the Cerro Tortuguero, which is the highest point in the North Caribbean; it is an ideal adventure for lovers of hiking, and from the community, you walk 15 minutes and reach the main entrance; it is essential to know that you must be accompanied by a local guide who coordinates the payments of the entrance, and in the place you will find the vegetation that characterizes the area and must climb approximately more than 300 steps to reach the top. Still, the prize of climbing and seeing the beauty of the Caribbean from above is worth it. The mouth of the river is the place where the river connects with the Caribbean Sea.<\/p>

    For lodging and meals, they have the beautiful place \u201cChinitas Lodge,\u201d surrounded by a warm family atmosphere and has the comfort you need to have a pleasant experience. Your hostess, Do\u00f1a Ana, will welcome you when you arrive. She is full of joy and enthusiasm, and her life story is transmitted with the affection she puts into the customer service she has given to people since they became family. The place offers accommodation in large rooms with comfortable beds, air conditioning, a private bathroom, and elegant decoration, which makes you feel Caribbean warmth.<\/p>

    The food is made on-site and is characterized by dishes full of Caribbean flavor, from the famous rice and beans with chicken to the delight of a dessert. They have a small dock where, in the evenings, you can enjoy a sunset accompanied by your favorite drink and enjoy the sounds of nature surrounding the place. The town is small but full of friendly people. You can walk around and learn about the authentic Costa Rican culture, where you can find the locals in their daily lives, children playing in the street, visit a wide variety of businesses that are at the service of customers, such as sodas, water transport, lodging, bakeries, mini-market, ice cream, crafts and much more, in a quiet space with a very diverse culture where visitors can enjoy each space safely.<\/p>

    Enjoy a different option with the magic that characterizes the Tortuguero area but from a more peaceful, traditional, full of adventure and human warmth and performing all activities such as visiting the Tortuguero National Park, kayaking, hiking, and observation of flora and fauna, among others.<\/p>
