Departure from Puerto Jimenez by collective transport to Carate, which takes approximately 2 hours. This route is on a gravel road, where you will pass parts of the primary and secondary forest. If you have a car, you can leave it in a car park in Carate. In Carate, you walk 3 km to reach La Leona Station, where you will start the journey to Sirena, a 17 km walk that takes approximately 8 hours. On this trail, you will walk along the beach and through the jungle until you reach the station in Sirena. Lodging and dinner at the station.

Early in the morning, you will wake up to head to the mouth of the Sirena River, where you can experience a unique sunrise amid the jungle and by the sea, accompanied by the sweet song of birds. After a magical sunrise, you will return to the station to enjoy an exquisite breakfast, and then begin the journey to the Los Espaveles and Sirena trails.

At approximately midday, you will return to the station for lunch and a short rest.After this rest, you will get ready with your swimming costume, as you will be going through the Rio Claro trail. Here, you will pass by a “natural pool” where you can take a refreshing dip. Then, you will continue to the Naranjos trail, which takes you to the beach, where there is a possibility of observing an unforgettable sunset. Overnight stay and dinner at the resort

At 5:30 am, we have breakfast to start a 20 km hike to Carate. These days, clients have a hearty breakfast at the station, and it is up to them to purchase fruit, bars, etc., for the hike to Carate. Accommodation in Cabinas Leyla. Dinner is on your own.
