Yorkin is a community whose aim is to achieve the dignity and socio-economic improvement of the people of Yorkin through the diversification of production and the development of tourism in rural communities. In this facet, the association has taken on enthusiasm and responsibility. In which the tourist activity is an instrument for the preservation of Nature and saving its traditions; visitors have the opportunity to learn their traditional practices, where they have the chance to learn about organic farming, including cocoa, Suita roofs, Jícaro handicrafts, and archery. It has a capacity for 60 people: 3 private rooms with their bathroom, and the rest would be in 15 double and ten single tents, where the bathroom is shared. There is no electricity or hot water. Note that they never work on Saturdays.

You should bring in your backpack:
Arrive at Bribri (09.00am pulpería Maruja). At the Hone Creek junction, turn right and continue to Bribri. Take the road to Shiroles, passing through Chase after a tunnel for 9 km until you reach the Bamboo Bratsi Pulperia next to the police station. One of our guides will be waiting for you to start the note tour. You should arrive at 9 am at the latest. The time lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Upon arrival to the community, you will walk for 15 minutes to get to the lodge. Here you will be waiting for a delicious snack (sandwiches and natural freshwater) and then settle into the ranch, where you will sleep and have lunch. Later you will start with a city tour of the community to finish the day by explaining the preparation of cocoa and making a jicara: dinner and lodging.
After breakfast, you will have a tour of medicinal plants and fruit trees, then you will have the presentation and practice of the arrow shot and to finish this morning you will close with a walk across the Yorkin River to the Panamanian side until you reach a waterfall with a natural pool and you can bathe there if you like. You will return to the lodge for lunch and at 1:00pm departure by boat back to Bambú. End of services
