ONE DAY TOUR

TIERRA AMIGA - CULTURAL AND ORGANIC TOUR

Description:

It is an ecological and family-run farm where everything is produced organically. Here, you will be welcomed by the family of Lucidia, Minor, and the 2-year-old Ruth, who is an excellent tour guide, where everyone loves her and wins her heart. This farm where this peasant family lives is a wooden house that is 80 years old, where Minor was born. Now, his daughter is leaving traces, just like her father.

The farm’s mission is to preserve its grandparents’ roots, culture, and traditions. Using organic fertilizers, it cultivates a variety of agricultural chayote, corn, and natural condiments. The cooking methods, including a wood cooker, are reminiscent of its ancestors. Visitors can learn about making products such as organic fertilizers in its small laboratory, where Minor provides a detailed explanation.

It is also a coffee farm where coffee is produced organically, where the coffee is dried inside the coffee plantation; the tourist is taught how to pick coffee, roast it in the wood cooker like the grandparents, and grind it to finish enjoying a delicious coffee.

Lunch is taken in a rancho, which resembles yesteryear’s dining rooms and kitchens. It has an earthen floor with a cooker, corn hanging from the zinc roof trusses, and an open roof.
