CORCOVADO TREK - CARATE

Important: Entering and exiting through Carate in the months of  June to November.

Arrival by your own means at Cabinas Leyla, in Playa Blanca. Dinner at your own expense

Leaving Puerto Jimenez in a collective transport to Carate takes approximately 2 hours. This tour is on a gravel road, where you will pass through parts of primary and secondary forests. Those with a car can leave it in Carate in a parking lot. In Carate, you walk 3 km to get to La Leona Station, and there you will start the journey to Sirena walking 17 km and approximately 8 hours; on this trail, you will walk along the beach and through the jungle until you get to the station in Sirena. Lodging and dinner at the station.

Early in the morning, you will wake up to go to the mouth of the Sirena River to experience a different kind of sunrise in the middle of the jungle and next to the sea, listening to the sweet song of the birds, after a magical light, you will return to the station to enjoy a delicious breakfast. You will start the tour on the trails of Los Espaveles and Sirena. After this rest, you will get ready with your bathing suit since you will go through the Rio Claro trail. Here you will pass by a “natural pool” where you can take a refreshing dip, then you will continue to the Naranjos trail; this trail takes you to the beach where you can observe an unforgettable sunset. Lodging and dinner at the resort.

At 5:30 am, we have breakfast to start a 20 km hike to Carate; this day th,e clients have a substantial breakfast at the station, and it is up to them to buy for their own means fruits, bars, etc., for the hike to Carate—lodging at Cabinas Leyla. Dinner is on your own.

After: 50% of total costs

Cancellations made in less than seven days have a penalty of 100%.
