6 Km South of Santa Clara Service Station, on Route 32. The Manú Center is a non-profit civil society established in 1995 thanks to the efforts of three non-governmental organizations. They then decided to establish a center for lodging, food, and classrooms where they could carry out their training activities with the beneficiaries of their work. The name of our lodge is dedicated to the manú tree (Minguartia guianensis), a tree typical of the tropical rainforest, whose distribution extends from our neighboring country to the north of tropical South America. Its wood is highly appreciated by farmers for its hardness and resistance and is frequently used for fencing and the construction of corrals, sheds, or the structure of floors and walls of rural houses. The Manú Lodge is located on a 12.5-hectare farm, at the foot of the Central Volcanic Mountain Range of the country, behind the Turrialba Volcano, just an hour and a half drive from San José and 6 km south of the center of the city of Guápiles-Limón, in the community of Buenos Aires. Our lodge has adequate facilities for various events such as training, seminars, recreational and social activities, such as birthdays, weddings, and graduation parties, as well as tourist activities in contact with nature in a tropical area of lush beauty and biodiversity of the Costa Rican Caribbean. We have lodging, food services, and areas for educational and recreational activities.
