Description:
You must arrive at Bambu in Bribri de Talamanca at 9:00 AM to meet your Yorkin community guide. With him, you take the boat and begin transferring about 1 ½ hours to Yorkin. During this tour, your local guide will tell you about the Yorkin River and its importance to the community.
After your arrival, you will walk into town for around 15 minutes, where you will receive a brief explanation of the association’s work. You visit the organic farm, where you can observe different fruits and medicinal plants and then you see the school and traditional houses.
Enjoy a typical lunch served at the Yorkin Ranch. In the afternoon you will learn how cocoa is made into chocolate and then take part in courses on using a bow and arrow. At around 3 pm you will take the boat back to Bambú, where this enriching adventure ends.
