Arrive at La Pavona on your own initiative at 10.45am. Park your rental car against a fee at the pier, or farewell to your driver. At the pier, meet your private guide who will take you to San Francisco de Tortuguero. Where you will begin your adventure in this rural community called las Chinitas Lodge. After lunch, an excursion to the Cerro de Tortuguero is included as well as a visit to the community. The hill is the highest point on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. From the top there is a panoramic view of San Francisco and Tortuguero which certainly will enchant you. During this experience you will be able to spot various types of birds and monkeys, red frogs, a bat cave and a great variety of flora. In San Francisco, the main sites of the community are visited while learning about its history and as a community has managed to coexist with natural resources between two conservation areas, it lasts approximately 3 hours. Dinners at the lodge.

After breakfast, two tours are offered to choose from: one within Tortuguero National Park and the other towards Caño Palma. During both tours you can observe a great variety of flora and fauna species including resident birds, alligators, turtles, monkeys and many more. There are also jaguars, mountain bigs as well as mammals like the manatee around. Lunch is served at the lodge with an afternoon at your disposal. Dinner will be served at the lodge as well.

After your breakfast, your guide accompanies you back to La Pavona in a boat where our services end.
