This is an excellent opportunity for those who like to mix adrenaline with indigenous culture. This hostel is located on the banks of the Pacuare River bordering the Niri-Awari indigenous reserve and other protected areas that cover part of Talamanca. Where they also have the task of protecting regions that cover the amount of Talamanca, where they also are focused on saving more than 60 hectares of forest. It is a sanctuary of life and refuge for flora and fauna native to
that forest. Please note that there is no electric light. Therefore, taking a flashlight along is recommended.

Access to the Ave Sol River Lodge has two options: hiking or rafting. It is recommended to choose the three days, 2-night package. The maximum capacity of this little peaceful place is 24 guests accommodated in triple & quadruple rooms.

Yoga can be practiced at the rancho.

Itinerary:

Depart from Bajos del Tigre (Restaurant Tres Equis) at 10am to take the raft and start the adventure of around 2 hours until you arrive at the lodge passing mainly 3 class rapids. Lunch on the river banks included.

The afternoon is free to get to know the surroundings of the property or just relax inside this isolated paradise of 100% in the midst of the mountains where all guests can relax in hammocks of the rancho or enjoy an educational experience of the jaguar during a guided walk through the rainforest. Dinner at hotel.

After a typical breakfast, you will take a 2-hour guided walk through the rainforest to reach the community and school of the indigenous people and share as well as learn about their culture.

While returning you may rest from this adventure for a happy hour enjoying the sunset as well as the delicious dinner accompanied by an incredible bonfire.

After having enjoyed your breakfast, be part of a waterfall hike before heading back in a rafting boat to Siquirres, Restaurant Caribbean Dish. There, the end of services after a light lunch-snack.
