Description: The Térrabas are an indigenous group from the South Pacific with a rich cultural heritage. Living near the Grande de Térraba River, they are a community that has survived for hundreds of years thanks to their knowledge of how the land is managed. It has six wooden cabins with private bathrooms (1 complies with Law 7600, and the other five accounts with three single beds each). Additionally, there is a hostel with cabins with shared bathrooms, with a capacity for 11 people, excellent for groups and volunteers.

To get to the embarkation point, you must travel along Route 32 to Guápiles, continuing towards Cariari – Palmitas – Puerto Lindo, here you must leave your car in a private car park, in the place will be the person in charge of the maritime transfer, to the town of Barra del Colorado Sur.
The time you should be in Puerto Lindo is at 10 am.
You will travel for approximately 45 minutes touring the nature and the views that the area offers us, on the way with luck you can observe the flora and the course of the rivers where you navigate, you will find: Forests or wetlands dominated by palm (yolillal, Raphia taedigera), Gamalotal and Flooded Forest. As for the Fauna in the area you can observe several species of aquatic birds among them the heron, crocodiles, heron fish among others.
Upon arrival at Barra del Colorado, we will arrive at the hotel to enjoy a delicious lunch typical of the area. In the afternoon at 4pm we will have a guided walk through the village of “Barra del Colorado Sur” through the picturesque “streets”, in the company of a local guide. accompanied by a local guide who will tell the history of this fishing village and enjoy the community and its establishments.
Dinner is enjoyed at a local restaurant called Brisas del Mar.

At 7:30 am arrives the local guide who accompanies you on your visit to Laguna Pereira This tour is done by boat for approximately 4 hours, surrounded by forests or wetlands dominated by palm (yolillal, Raphia taedigera), Gamalotal and flooded forest, is home to spider monkeys, howler and white-faced, species of waterfowl which are attracted by the amount of fish that live in the waters of this place. It is the natural habitat of the Manatee, which, with luck, can be found on the road enjoying the water or looking for food. Crocodiles and some wild animals are also hidden in this forest. The relaxation you feel is part of the adventure as you navigate the lagoon and experience the peace that comes from connecting with the nature that surrounds you.
Lunch is enjoyed at the Kawe Hotel, and the afternoon is free. You can choose to relax and enjoy the hotel, go for a walk on the optional trails offered by the hotel, or take an optional activity in the area on your own.
In the evening, you will have dinner and spend the night at the lodge.
