This 3.5-acre botanical garden offers a collection of more than 300 species of national, foreign, and hybrid orchids. In addition to these collections, plants are produced through in vitro (laboratory) culture by a Costa Rican company and one of the first agrotourism companies in Limón, where you can find everything from exotic orchids to tree ferns. In this, you can observe over 5000 plants of more than 30 sanctuary genera. Along the trails, it provides a great diversity of birds, including toucans, parakeets, parrots, macaws, and tanagers.31 The garden has two important water sources: Quebrada Leona and the internal artificial lagoons. Quebrada Leona is a small river that forms part of the Parismina River Basin, which in turn carries its waters to the canals of Tortuguero National Park. It operates with a minimum of 2 pax.
